The V1 Veloway is a dedicated 3 meter wide cycle way that connects cyclists from Brisbane city to the Gateway Motorway off-ramp at Eight Mile Plains. The Juliette Street bridge is a 135 meter structure that spans Juliette Street. Manufacturing such a large structure and installing it without disrupting normal traffic poses a number of challenges. Steel fabricator Neumann Contractors split the structure into three 45 meter pieces. These structures were clad with 1480m2 of Metrix Tread Perf panels in the factory prior to installation saving considerable time and money on site.
